first Weekend (Aftermath of the 2nd conch meeting) last entree

 Chapter 5 pg 132-133
It was after the second conch meeting and everything is falling apart how are we supposed to survive on this island if we can't even form a straight line. "Fat lot of good we are, three blind mice. I'll give up" when hearing those come out of my mouth Piggy asked me "If you give up, what 'ud  happen to me?" "Nothing," I said but Piggy had made a reason to why "He hates me. I dunno why. If he could do all he wanted-you're all right, he respects you. Besides- you'd hit him" "you were just having a nice fight with him right now" I interrupted "I had the conch, I had the right to speak" Piggy explained then a voice in the area had shared their own opinion "Go on being Chief." "Shut up, young Simon! Why couldn't you say there wasn't a beast?" "I'm scared of him, and that's why I know him. If you're scared of someone you hate him but you can't stop thinking about him. You kid yourself he's all right really, an' then when you see him again; it's like asthma an' you can't breathe. I tell you what. He hates you too, Ralph—" Said Piggy

"Why " I asked  "I dunno. You got him over the fire; an' you're chief an' he isn't." "But he's, Jack Merridew!" "I've been in bed so much I have done some thinking and I know about people and I know about myself. Even about Jack and I know that the time you back off he will try to hurt me since he can't hurt you" I saw Piggy in a state of almost experiencing an earthquake as he was practically saying that I have to stand my ground as the leader. In the back, Simon said "Piggy's right, Ralph. There's you and Jack. Go on being chief." "We're all drifting and things are getting rotten."

Week 1 (The pig fight) Third entree

Chapter 4 pg 97-99
I got over the hill when I saw the scene I was furious since I saw Jack and the rest of the group were yelling and screaming in harmony as the twins were carrying a pig. Jack with his face covered in clay saw me and was the first to the top of the hill he came up to me happy with his spear lifted. "Look! We've killed a pig-we stole up on him-we got in a circle-" and joining in the conversation other voices came "We got in a circle-" "We crept up-" "The pig squealed-" The twins came up with the pig and Jack unable to contain his excitement was hopping and moving, trying to regain his composure but he couldn't stop himself from grinning. He noticed the blood on his hands and quickly wanted to clean them but all he could use was his shorts. In a stern tone, I said: "You let the fire out " It seemed like Jack didn't know what I was talking about but he didn't let it affect his moment of fun. "We can just light the fire again. You should've been with us, Ralph. We had a smashing time. the twins got knocked over-" "we hit the pig-" "-I fell on top-" "I cut the pig's throat," Jack said but had a little twitched as he said it.

He continued "Can I borrow yours, Ralph, to make a nick in the hilt?" Upon hearing that the boys were dancing and talking, the twins still had a grin on their faces. "There was lashings of blood," Jack still laughing and struggling to get the words out "you should've seen it" "We'll go hunting every day-" I spoke again "You let the fire out." I could tell that Jack was hearing me and that he was feeling uncomfortable since he looked at the twins when I said it the second time "We had to have them in the hunt, or there wouldn't have been enough to make a ring." Jack was feeling bad about this, I also know what he had done was wrong. "The fire's only been out an hour or two. We can light it up again-" it was a little bit until when Jack had said something while his arms were open "You should have seen the blood!" when I heard those words I knew that I wasn't getting anywhere with him so in one move I pointed my arm towards the horizon and said: "There was a ship". Upon hearing those words Jack went to the pig and took his knife but I wasn't going to let him take his eyes off the situation "There was a ship. Out there. You said you'd keep the fire going and you let it out!" I took a set in front of Jack and told him in a way where he would clearly understand how I'm feeling "They might have seen us. We might have gone home-"

In the back, I heard Piggy begin to cry out "You and your blood, Jack Merridew! You and your hunting! We might have gone home-" I pushed Piggy to aside and looked back and said "I was chief, and you were going to do what I said. You talk. But you can't even build huts-then you go hunting and let out the fire" "There was a ship-" I said as I walked back to the camp I could hear the wails of a littlun hunter and Jack hacking away at the pig, and even the words under his breath "The Job was too much. We need everyone."

Week 1 (The Conch meeting) Second entree

Chapter 1 pg 28-32
It was the time the group had been united and the boys are already beginning to complain "Seems we ought to have a chief to decide things." I said holding the conch in the air "A chief! A chief!" one of the voices shouted "I ought to be the Chief," Jack continued "because I'm chapter chorister and head boy. I can sing C sharp." It was then that another boy named Roger who had interrupted Jack's steadfast system to become the leader the dark boy said: " let's have a vote." "yes!" shouted another voice "vote for chief!" "Lets vote-" the boys shouted in the agreement of each other. Only two of the people weren't happy those two were Jack and Piggy, both thinking that Jack should be the leader. But it was I who the group wanted to be the chief not for my looks or experience, not even cause anyone knows me I knew that it was cause of the conch. "Him with the shell." "Ralph! Ralph!" "Let him be the chief with the trumpet-thing." I raised a hand and asked "All right. Who wants Jack for chief?" The choir boys raised their hands as if calling for a roll call I continue "Who wants me?" The rest of the group raised their hands, Piggy raised his hand after seeing that he was surrounded by a forest of hands. I counted the hands and holding my composure I said: "I'm chief then." altogether the group including the choir boys were giving me applause with Jack standing and also giving his congrats, he later sat down.

I felt bad for Jack and in the heat of the moment I gave something back "the choir belongs to you of course." "They could be the army-" "Or hunters-" "they could be-" I saw the life in Jack's face came back and put my hand up to announce "Jack's in charge of the choir. They can be-what do you want them to be?" Jack gave a quick response "Hunters." I smiled at Jack and he smiled back at me. Jack stood up and gave an order "All right, choir. Take off your tongs" The choir boys followed Jack's orders swiftly and put them into a pile. Jack took his off near the stump, I saw how wet his shorts were, Jack had noticed my staring and told me "I tried to get over that hill to see if there was water all around. But your shell called us. When I heard the explanation I had chuckled a little bit, and held the conch up high so the group would listen to me "Listen, everybody. I've got to have time to think things out. I can't decide what to do straight off. if this isn't an island we might be rescued straight away. So we got to decide if this is an island. Everyone must stay around here and wait and not go away. Three of us-if we take more we'd get all mixed, and lose each other- three of us will go on an expedition and find out. I'll go, and Jack, and. . ." I looked around for a boy that could join us and become a person I could rely on "and Simon". When I mentioned his name the boys around him giggled due to his small stature, but still came up and said: "I'll come."

Week 1 (Your name is Piggy LOTF)First entree

Chapter. 1 pg 9-12
It was a little while after I woke up after the crash and the first person I meet is a fat boy near a lagoon who asked my name. I replied by saying "Ralph" I walked towards the lagoon and fat boy says "I expect there's a lot more of us scattered about. You haven't seen any others, have you?" I shook my head in response as I continued down the side of the lagoon I increased my speed, but immediately came face to face with the ground I had tripped due to branch. I heard the rush in steps of the person behind and with it came heavy breathing "My auntie told me not to run," he explained, "on account of my asthma." I didn't even have to say anything but he knew what I was going to say, I was going to ask him how he did it but instead what came to words was "Ass-mar?". "That's right. Can't catch my breath. I was the only boy in our school who had asthma," The fat boy said to me as if he was prideful about having asthma. "And I've been wearing specs since I was three" to prove this he took off his specs and handed them off to me I thought he wanted me to wear them, but it was to bring out his windbreaker he blinked and smiled while he was clearing off his glasses.

That smile turned into pain and that pain only added to his concentration, after he was done he cleared off the sweat from his cheeks and put his glasses on. Fat boy as if out of breath and forgetting how words worked he said "Them fruit." He pointed around the scar "them fruit," "I expect-" fat boy like a walrus moved away from me and layed onto some foliage. "I'll be out again in a minute-" after hearing those words I began to sprint through the branches of the jungle and I could hear the sounds of heavy grunting behind me I knew that fat boy was following me. I didn't care though since I was getting closer to the lagoon, I was fit by the sounds of water hitting the collection of glistening rocks and I saw the jungle disappear the further it reached the water. All I knew was the only thing that was in the way of feeling the sand was my elevated height on the terrace. I jumped down the terrace and immediately felt the weight of the heat and the gravity of the clothes I was wearing. I felt like I was wearing 5 pounds of feathers to get rid of this feeling I had taken off my clothes, even though I am 12 and a few months old I had felt like a child with nothing holding myself back. Before I knew it I was running in my boxers covering myself in sand then basking in the sun.

I looked at the right and saw fat boy next to me removing his pants "I expect we'll want to know their names and make a list. We ought to have a meeting" said, fat boy, I didn't know what he was trying to say so I made no attempt to answer fat boy continued "I don't care what they call me, as long as they don't call me what they used at school" fat boy said in a sad tone. I, on the other hand, didn't care for his expressions I just wanted to satiate my curiosity by saying "What was that?" fat boy didn't waste time for hesitation he leaned in and spoke in my ear "They used to call me Piggy." Upon hearing the name I was laughing like the sun had made me delirious and in that state, I was shouting "Piggy! Piggy!" "Ralph-please! I said I didn't want-" "Piggy! Piggy!" I was not listening to a word that Piggy said, but I was in a childish mood and shot Piggy in the process of being a fighter-plane.
